Russian strike on Dobrobut medical centre in Kyiv injures seven, including six staff members

Seven people have been injured in a Russian strike on the Dobrobut medical centre on Antonovycha Street in Kyiv, six of them employees of the facility.

Details: The building has been damaged and parts of it are on fire. The medical centre will not operate in the coming days.

Quote: "Today, the enemy struck our medical centre on Antonovycha Street for the second time. Most importantly, all employees and visitors are, thankfully, alive.

Seven people have been injured so far, six of them Dobrobut employees. All available teams from our emergency care service promptly arrived at the scene and provided the necessary medical assistance. Several people were taken to the emergency departments of our network."

Details: The upper floors, where the Dobrobut Academy is located, have been damaged, as have the ground floors, where the fire engulfed the polyclinic premises. Windows on the ground to second floors facing the courtyard were blown out by the blast wave, and medical equipment was also damaged. Firefighters and the State Emergency Service are working at the scene.

"We are assessing the extent of the damage. The medical centre will not operate in the coming days. Please follow our updates. Our team will do everything possible to resume the medical centre's operations as soon as possible.

The rest of the Dobrobut medical centres are continuing to operate," the network added.

Background:

• On 28 September, Russian forces attacked Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district with drones. The National Academy of Sciences building was struck.
• Russia then launched a second attack on the capital. Eyewitnesses posted videos showing a fire at Dobrobut hospital.
