Russians attack central Kyiv: Academy of Sciences building hit, fire breaks out, people killed – photos, video

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has reported a Russian drone attack on Kyiv on 28 September, in which a UAV crashed in the city centre, causing a fire. People have been killed and injured.

Footage from the scene indicates that a building belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was struck.

Details: Klitschko said emergency services were heading to the scene.

Update: Oleksandr Sazanovych reported that people were injured and killed as a result of the strike. All emergency and appropriate services are working at the scene.

"I would ask residents not to approach the scene and not to hinder the work of the emergency services," he said.

In addition, a UAV struck a non-residential site in the Darnytskyi district.
