Russia puts Ukrainian ex-ministers on wanted list

Russia's Investigative Committee has put former Ukrainian ministers of defence Oleksii Reznikov and Mykhailo Fedorov on the international wanted list.

Quote: "Regarding Reznikov and Fedorov, decisions have been issued to prefer charges, and their international wanted status has been organised."

Details: At a meeting of Russian investigators, it was reported that Fedorov and Reznikov "issued criminal orders and directives to subordinates, ensuring the execution of punitive paramilitary operations on the territory of Donbas".

Background:

• In 2023 Kyrylo Budanov, current head of the President's Office, was put on the wanted list by the Russian Interior Ministry.
• In May 2024, a message about Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy being put on the wanted list was published on the website of Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs.
