Estonia wants to support Ukraine to "turn Russian oil refineries into ruins"
Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has described US President Donald Trump's decision to ease sanctions on Russian diesel fuel as a major mistake.

Details: Michal said the decision runs counter to the West's long-standing efforts to cut off the flow of energy revenues to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
He also pointed out that the US had previously been persuading its allies to abandon Russian fuel.
"This is a major mistake, as deals with dictators are a path to hell. Innocent people are killed with the money obtained from gas and fuel. And, very likely, this expected fuel will not arrive," he stated, commenting on the decision.
"In Estonia and at the European Council meeting this week, we should discuss whether we can rapidly increase support for Ukraine so that it turns Russian oil refineries into ruins," Michal added.
Background:
- Trump said the previous day that he had spoken with Putin and reached an agreement with him on supplies of Russian diesel fuel to the US and global markets.
- Axios reported that Trump decided to strike a deal with Russia on diesel fuel after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ignored half a dozen US requests to halt attacks on Russian oil refineries.
- During talks with the Ukrainian team, Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner also reportedly threatened to cut off intelligence sharing with Ukraine if Kyiv continued striking Russian oil refineries.
