Its designed capacity is 12 million tonnes per year. It produces petrol, diesel, aviation gas, liquefied petroleum gas and stable gas condensate.
The plant is owned by Gazprom Pererabotka. Surgut is located 2,500 km from the Ukrainian border.
Background: On 15 October, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine will resume strikes on Russian oil refineries after a three-day pause requested by the US.
