Source: Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi and Health Minister Viktor Liashko
Details: One patient sustained minor injuries and is receiving the necessary medical treatment.
Koretskyi and Liashko said an operating theatre located on the fifth floor has been destroyed as a result of the strike.
Quote from Liashko: "Medical facilities are protected by international humanitarian law. Despite this, Russia is once again attacking places where lives are saved. And it must be held accountable for this terror."
Previously: This is not the first time Russia has struck the institute. The building was also damaged in a combined Russian attack on Kyiv on 28 September last year. The worst damage was reported in the endocrine cardiology and dyslipidaemia departments and the chronic coronary heart disease department, which occupy the second, third and fourth floors.
Two people were killed as a result of the attack: a patient and 50-year-old nurse Oksana Katerusha.
Background:
- A Russian attack has damaged the Consultative and Diagnostic Centre at Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 6. There were no casualties, but the building has been badly damaged and the medical facility has closed for now.
