Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said Russia may intensify its ballistic missile attacks amid a shortage of interceptor missiles for US-made Patriot air defence systems.

Quote: "They [the Russians] will intensify their attacks. They understand that the Americans have reduced supplies of missiles for Patriot systems. They will step up their ballistic missile strikes."

Details: Zelenskyy said on 16 October that Ukraine has still been facing a shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems.

Meanwhile, he added that European partners have enough PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles to enable Ukraine to defend its airspace against Russian attacks and get through the winter.

Background: On 18 October, Zelenskyy accused Trump of trying to pressure Ukraine into capitulating to Russia and delaying deliveries of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defence systems.
