"She had her whole life ahead of her": classmates Yana and Mariia killed in Russian attack on Chernihiv
Yana Pieshkova and Mariia Mozhova, two 15-year-old classmates, were killed in a Russian attack with a Banderol drone-launched cruise missile on central Chernihiv on 29 October.

Details: Yana was a competitive rhythmic gymnast. The Magic Sports studio said the girl was part of its team.
"She was a student at our studio and part of our sporting family. A girl who should have had her whole life ahead of her, with so many dreams, plans and happy moments... But Russia decided otherwise.
She will forever remain in our hearts as the same cheerful, sincere and smiling girl... It is impossible to accept that this child is no longer with us," the studio wrote.
Her friend Mariia was a dancer.
"Sadly, one of our studio's students, our Mashunia [diminutive of Mariia – ed.], was killed in the Russian attack. This is an immeasurable loss for our entire team. Mashunia was a cheerful, kind and caring girl. We love you. You will forever remain in our hearts," Vita Dance studio said.

- Another 31 people were injured in the attack, including four children. One of them was a 10-month-old girl.
- Earlier, it was reported that an 80-year-old woman, Valentyna Mikhnova, was killed in a Russian attack in Kharkiv Oblast on 20 October. Russian forces dropped around 10 guided aerial bombs on her home village.
