Poroshenko Demands to Investigate Sheremet’s Death Immediately

President Petro Poroshenko instructed law enforcement to investigate the death of journalist Pavel Sheremet as quickly as possible, he wrote on Facebook.

"I instructed law enforcement to investigate this crime as quickly as possible. Those guilty of it must be punished."

The President said that Sheremet’s death was an "awful tragedy" that shocked him. He also wrote that he knew Sheremet in person and expressed condolences to his family and friends.

Famous journalist Pavel Sheremet died in a car blast on Wednesday morning, July 20. According to the preliminary information, he died as a result of the detonation of an explosive device.
