Ministry of the Ecology: The events at Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant may trigger a disaster not only in Europe, but all over the world

The repercussions of the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (NPP) incident (the largest power plant in Europe) may lead to a global disaster.

Background:

Zaporizhzhya NPP caught fire as a result of the shelling by Russian invaders. The premises of the educational building and the combined laboratory and residential building are on fire.The battle continues at the nuclear power plant.

Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba stressed that if the Zaporizhzhya NPP explodes, the consequences would be 10 times worse than Chornobyl. 

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on European leaders to prevent the "end of Europe"  in the face of the danger posed by Zaporizhzhya NPP explosion.
