According to preliminary estimates, there may not be enough storage facilities in October to store the harvest - for 10-15 million tonnes.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

He said that the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food is considering the possibility of organising mobile storage. Shmyhal added that the aggressor is intentionally destroying agricultural facilities, such as, for example, the second largest grain terminal in Ukraine in Mykolaiv.

Background:

Russia's invasion has undermined Ukrainian agricultural production: Ukraine's grain harvest this year is likely to be about 20% lower than in 2021, due to reduced sown areas.
