Armed Forces of Ukraine repulse assaults on Bakhmut front, but Russian forces have some success – General Staff report

The Ukrainian military has repulsed the Russian offensive in Sloviansk, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka, as well as partially on the Bakhmut front, while the Russian forces have had partial success on the Pokrovske - Bakhmut front.

Details: On the Bakhmut front, the occupiers used tanks and artillery of various calibres to fire on the areas of the settlements of Bakhmut, Soledar, Ivano-Darivka, Vyimka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Kodema, Vershyna, Zaitseve and Vasiukivka. Airstrikes were recorded near Vyimka, Ivano-Darivka, Spirne, Yakovlivka, Soledar and Bakhmutske.
The invaders tried to conduct reconnaissance near Spirne. Ukrainian soldiers inflicted fire damage and neutralised the aggressors.
The Russian occupiers unsuccessfully tried to break through the defence of Ukrainian units and advance in the area of the settlements of Spirne, Ivano-Darʼivka, Vyimka, Yakovlivka, Kodema, Vershyna and Zaitseve. They suffered losses and retreated chaotically. Fighting continues in some areas.
On the Pokrovske - Bakhmut front, the Russian forces had partial success and are trying to gain a foothold.
On the Sloviansk front, the occupiers fired on the positions of the Defence Forces of Ukraine near Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dmytrivka, Dibrivne, Virnopillia, Ridne, Protopopivka, Mazanivka, Bohorodychne, Nortsivka, Krasnopillia and Dolyna. Airstrikes were carried out near Zalyman.
The Russian occupying forces attempted to conduct offensive battles in the areas of Pasika – Bohorodychne and Tykhotske – Dolyna fronts. They were repulsed and withdrew.
On the Kramatorsk front, attacks were recorded near Siversk, Zvanivka, Verkhnokamianske, Hryhorivka and Raihorodka.
The Russian forces’ attempt to carry out combat reconnaissance in the area of Bilohorivka – Hryhorivka failed.
Artillery shelling continued on the Avdiivka front near Marinka, Vodiane, Netailove, Avdiivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka and Novobakhmutivka. The invaders carried out airstrikes near Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vodiane and Avdiivka.
Ukrainian defenders suppressed all Russian forces’ assault attempts in Spartak, Pisky and Marinka districts and drove the invaders back to their previous positions.
On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, the aggressor’s fire was detected near Novomykhailivka, Shevchenko, Novoiakovlivka, Velyki Novosilky, Volodymyrivka, Vuhledar, Novopillia, Preobrazhenka, Vremivka, Novosilky, Zelene Pole, Novodanylivka, Kamianske, Novoandriivka, Huliaipole and Bilohiria. Russian forces’ aviation operated near Vuhledar and Novomykhailivka.
The occupiers were advancing in the Yehorivka – Pavlivka front, but were stopped and pushed back.
On the Kharkiv front, the Russian army fired from tanks and tubed and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Udy, Odnorobivka, Prudianka, Slatyne, Dementiivka, Nove, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Ruski ta Cherkaski Tyshky, Tsyrkuny, Cherniaky, Petrivka, Shestakove, Staryi Saltiv, Mospanove, Kutuzivka, Lisne, Ivanivka, Husarivka, Lebiazhe, Korobochkyne, Slobozhanske and Chepil.
The Russian forces used attack and army aircraft for strikes near Verkhnii Saltiv, Rtyshchivka, Ukrainka and Bairak.
On the Pivdennyi Buh front, the invaders fired on the Ukrainian troops’ positions from tanks and tubed and rocket artillery along the contact line. Airstrikes were carried out in the areas of Osokorivka, Andriivka, Blahodatne, Novohryhorivka, Lozove, Myrne, Bruskynske and Velyke Artakove.
The Russian army is trying to restore the combat capability of units that suffered losses during hostilities on this front.
Two sea-based cruise missile carriers are on standby in the Black and Azov Seas.
The situation has not changed significantly on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. According to the available information, on 11 August, a check was carried out on the readiness of the system of combat control and notification of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus for use.
On the Sivershchyna front, the Russian forces continue to maintain units in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk oblasts [Russia] to constrain the actions of units of the Defence Forces. The Russian army shelled the areas of Oleksandrivka in Chernihiv Oblast and Yurieve, Bilopillia, Atynske and Yastrubyne in Sumy Oblast with artillery.
The rotation of units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, which perform tasks in the border regions of the Kursk and Belgorod oblasts [Russia], continues.
"The manpower losses of the Russian occupying troops are increasing. The invaders’ command is therefore expanding its practice of postponing the rotations of advance units for an indefinite period without supplementing them with personnel. All this has a significant impact on the morale of Russian servicemen and so-called volunteers and reduces their motivation to participate in hostilities," the General Staff reported.
