Belarus sends military personnel to Russia to study

The Ministry of Defence of Belarus has stated that more than 250 Belarusian military personnel will take part in the Russian Vostok-2022 (East-2022) exercises.

Details: The exercises will be held at 13 training grounds in the Eastern Military District of the Russian Federation from 30 August to 5 September.

The exercise will be led by Chief of the Russian General Staff Valery Gerasimov.

It is reported that during the exercises, the "issues of using groups of troops to ensure military security in the Eastern Region will be worked out."

Background: On 21 July, self-proclaimed president of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko confirmed that Belarus aids Russia in its aggression against Ukraine.
