Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminate several Russian reconnaissance groups in Donetsk Oblast – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have neutralised several Russian reconnaissance groups in the vicinity of Velyka Novosilka and Vremivka, in Donetsk Oblast.

Details: On the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts, Russian forces fired on the areas in and around Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Orikhiv, Shevchenko, Huliaipilske, Novodanylivka, Stepnohirsk, Olhivske, Kamianske and Novosilka and conducted airstrikes near Velyka Novosilka, Shcherbaky and Novosilka.

On the Donetsk front, aircraft-supported groups of Russian troops are mounting an offensive on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts and attempting to force the Ukrainian troops out.

On the Kramatorsk front, the Russians fired in the vicinity of Hryhorivka, Siversk, Verkhnokamianske, Zakitne and Ivano-Darivka.

On the Bakhmut front, Russian artillery shelled the areas in and around Soledar, Kodema, Bilohorivka, Bakhmutske, Vyimka and Vershyna. Russian aircraft carried out airstrikes near Vershyna, Zaitseve, Dacha, Bakhmut, Yakovlivka and Spirne. Russian forces attempted to conduct reconnaissance-in-force near Ivano-Darivka, Vesele, Yakovlivka and Bakhmut, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted fire damage on the Russian groups and forced them to retreat. Russian forces’ attempts to advance near Zaitseve resulted in a similar outcome.

Russian forces fired on the areas in the vicinity of Vodiane, Pisky, Nevelske, Novoselivka, Krasnohorivka and Sukha Balka on the Avdiivka front, and conducted airstrikes on the areas in and around Marinka, Krasnohorivka, Novoselivka and Avdiivka. Russia’s attempts to advance near Krasnohorivka and Avdiivka were thwarted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces; the Russians were forced to retreat.

The situation has not changed significantly on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. Belarusian Armed Forces are continuing to ensure the reinforced security of the Belarusian-Russian border in Brest and Gomel oblasts (Belarus). There is a threat of missile strikes from the territory of Belarus.

On the Sivershchyna front, units of Russia’s Western Military District continue to be deployed in Bryansk and Kursk oblasts (Russia), near the Russian-Ukrainian border. They are carrying out manoeuvres to demonstrate their presence in the area and pin down the Ukrainian Armed Forces and prevent them from being transferred to other fronts. The Russians used tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka, Seredyna-Buda and Mezenivka in Sumy Oblast and conducted aerial reconnaissance near Hai and Shalyhyne.

On the Slobozhanshchyna front, Russian forces are carrying out combat missions in order to maintain their positions in the area and prevent the Ukrainian Armed Forces from advancing. The Russians are trying to reconnoitre the Ukrainian defence systems in the area.

On the Kharkiv front, Russian forces used tank guns, as well as tubed and rocket artillery to fire on the areas in and around Sosnivka, Duvanka, Prudianka, Dementiivka, Pytomnyk, Ruska Lozova, Cherkaski Tyshky, Petrivka, Bairak, Staryi Saltiv, Bazaliivka, Korobochkyne, Andriivka, Milove, Chuhuiv and Chepil. They conducted aerial reconnaissance and carried out airstrikes near Verkhnii Saltiv.

On the Sloviansk front, Russian troops conducted artillery shelling of the areas in the vicinity of Brazhivka, Karnaukhivka, Sulyhivka, Nova Dmytrivka, Protopopivka, Adamivka, Zalyman, Mazanivka and Dolyna.

Russian troops are conducting defence operations on the Pivdennyi Buh front. Russian aircraft have been active in the area. In order to pin down the Ukrainian forces on this front, the Russians used artillery to shell the areas around Prybuzke, Posad-Pokrovske, Lupareve, Ukrainka, Luch, Myrne, Blahodatne, Novorosiiske, Shyroke, Partyzanske, Plotnytske, Bilohirka, Osokorivka and Kniazivka. Russian aircraft conducted airstrikes near Bila Krynytsia, Andriivka, Osokorivka and Olhyne. In addition, the Russians conducted aerial reconnaissance in the vicinity of Bilohirka, Murakhivka, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenkove and Mykolaivka.

Two naval cruise missiles carriers armed with Kalibr missiles are on standby in the waters of the Black Sea. Russian aircraft are focusing on striking military targets on the Donetsk front.
