Ukrainian Armed Forces bring down Russian helicopter – Operational Command Pivden (South)

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have shot down and destroyed a Russian Ka-52 helicopter near Novohryhorivka in Mykolaiv Oblast.

Details: Russia’s total losses in southern Ukraine on 5 September amount to:

  • 86 military personnel
  • 4 tanks
  • 12 armoured vehicles
  • 4 Msta-B and Msta-S 152-calibre howitzers
  • 3 Giatsint-B and Giatsint-S 152-calibre guns
  • 1 communications system
  • 1 anti-tank missile system.

In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a Russian Orlan-10 UAV near Vysokopillia. Ukrainian air defence units also destroyed two X-59 missiles near Andriivka during a Russian missile attack on the recently liberated territories of Kherson Oblast.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed four Russian ammunition storage points in the Beryslav, Bashtanka and Kherson districts (Kherson Oblast).

Ukrainian aircraft carried out 18 airstrikes on the positions, logistical routes, command posts and strong points of Russian forces.

Ukrainian rocket artillery units executed 370 firing missions, targeting Russian air defence units, areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated, electronic warfare systems and pontoon crossings near Dariivka and the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
