"For the second time, the Russian Nazis hit [sunflower] oil containers of one of the leading exporters of sunflower oil of Ukraine. 17% of the world export of this product passes through this terminal in the city of Mykolaiv. The enemy continues their policy of aggression against the whole of the world, inflicting similar strikes on the civilian infrastructure of the agricultural sector of our economy.

Last time, the enterprise was attacked by a cruise missile. This time – by kamikaze drones.

Now, the situation near the enterprise is difficult, due to the amount of oil leaking into the street. Firefighters fought the flames for several hours," wrote Pletenchuk.

According to local media, rivers of sunflower oil flowed through a number of streets in Mykolaiv on the morning of Monday, 17 October.

"The reason was the damage caused by the drone attack on two tanks with capacities of 7,500 tonnes each on the territory of the enterprise in Zavodsky district. A fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished by the employees of the State Emergency Service. However, the tanks themselves are damaged – oil is pouring out of them. The liquid is flowing down the street, draining into the city sewer, there are deep puddles on the road," writes [Ukrainian media] Novosti-N.
