Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, believes that the introduction of "martial law" in the territories occupied by Russia does not change anything for Ukraine or its Armed Forces.

Quote: "‘Martial law’ implemented on the occupied territories by the Russian Federation should be considered only as a pseudo-legalisation of looting of Ukrainians’ property by another ‘regrouping’.

This does not change anything for Ukraine: we continue the liberation and deoccupation of our territories."

Background: On 19 October, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin announced the decision to impose martial law on the annexed Ukrainian oblasts of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk and Donetsk.
