In the centre of Kramatorsk (Donetsk Oblast), volunteers set up a feeding station for homeless dogs.

The animals formed a queue to get some food, reports Nate Mook, Executive Director of World Central Kitchen.

Quote by Mook: "I have never seen anything like this before. Yesterday, we organised a feeding station for domestic animals in Kramatorsk. This morning [October 21 – ed.], Ukrainian dogs stood in a queue to get fed".

The volunteer attached a photo, which shows the dogs queuing up at a certain distance from one another, forming a live chain.

During the war, pet owners and volunteers have been trying to help as many animals as possible, and to evacuate at least some of them.

For instance, Oleksii Surovtsev saved over 200 cats and dogs from the bombed city of Irpin, and Anastasia Tykha evacuated animals from the city of Bucha.
