Hospitals in occupied Kherson Oblast are overflowing with wounded Russians — General Staff report

Hospitals in the occupied territory of Kherson Oblast cannot cope with the flood of wounded Russian soldiers.

Up to thirty wounded invaders have been confirmed to have arrived at the children's clinical hospital in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk Oblast. Additional medical staff have been sent to this facility."

Details: The General Staff reports that Russian forces are trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, are concentrating their efforts on attempts to disrupt the counteroffensive actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on certain fronts, and at the same time, are periodically conducting offensive actions on the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts.

Today, 8 October, the occupiers launched three rocket attacks and 16 air strikes, and carried out more than 20 attacks from MLRSs. 

More than 15 towns and villages were shelled. These are Bilovody, Hrabovske, Slavhorod, Udy, Chuhunivka, Kharkiv, Chasiv Yar, Bilohorivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.

There were no significant changes on the Volyn and Polissia fronts. Military exercises in Belarus have been extended until 15 October. Also, the closure of the airspace over the southern part of Belarus has been extended once again.

On other fronts, Russian forces attacked cities and towns using tubed and rocket artillery. In particular:

  • On the  Sivershchyna front – Senkivka, Bleshnia and Mykolaivka (Chernihiv Oblast), as well as Bachivsk, Starykove, Kindrativka and Bilovody (Sumy Oblast);
  • On the Slobozhanshchyna front – Udy, Kozacha Lopan, Krasne, Hlyboke, Ohirtseve, Varvarivka, Neskuchne, Ternova and Dvorichna;
  • On the Kramatorsk front – Terny, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Yampolivka, Dronivka, Serebrianka, Bilohorivka, Vesele and Hryhorivka;
  • On the Bakhmut front – Verkhnokamianske, Rozdolivka, Yakovlivka, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Maiorsk and Niu-Iork;
  • On the Avdiivka front – Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.
  • The Russian forces did not carry out offensive actions on the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia fronts. The invaders’ shelling damaged infrastructure in more than twenty settlements, including Temyrivka, Zelene Pole, Vremivka, Neskuchne, Vuhledar, Pavlivka, Olhivske, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Charivne and Myrne.
  • On the Pivdennyi Buh front, more than forty settlements were damaged by Russian attacks. In particular, Russian forces once again used Iranian-made kamikaze drones to attack the infrastructure of Nikopol and the territories of Mykolaiv Oblast.

Over the past 24 hours, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have repelled invaders’ attacks in and around Bilohorivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Maiorsk, Krasnohorivka and Terny.

Ukrainian aviation carried out seven high-precision strikes hitting Russian anti-aircraft missile systems during the day. In addition, Ukrainian Air Defence units shot down one Orlan unmanned aerial vehicle.

In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Rocket Forces and Artillery have hit eight concentrations of manpower, weaponry and military equipment, two ammunition storage points, and ten other important sites.
