Occupiers begin allowing passenger trains to cross Crimean Bridge

Russian occupiers have restored freight and passenger train traffic over the Crimean Bridge which was damaged by an explosion on Saturday morning.

Details: On the evening of Saturday, the first passenger train, en route from occupied Simferopol to Moscow, went under arches of the Crimean Bridge.

Double-decker train No. 28 connecting Simferopol to Moscow departed from Simferopol at 17:10 (Moscow time), according to schedule.

The Ministry of Transport of Russia has reported that the sale of tickets for passenger trains to Russian-occupied Crimea has been restored. 

Movement of freight trains began at 18:42. Over the course of the night, 12 passenger trains are scheduled to pass across the bridge, as stated in the Ministry’s message.
