Khersonoblenergo starts work on restoration of electricity supply in Kherson

Specialists of the Khersonoblenergo [a company that supplies electricity at a regulated tariff to consumers in the Kherson Oblast and transmits electricity through local power grids – ed.], which is part of the VS Energy group of companies, are starting the process of restoring electricity supply to liberated Kherson.

Quote: "We are returning electricity to every city and town in Kherson Oblast immediately after the liberation and obtaining the mandatory permission of the military. Our Kherson is next!!" stated Ihor Safronov, the Chairman of the Board of Khersonoblenergo.

The company noted that there is a lot of work on the rapid restoration of power supply in the liberated territories of Kherson Oblast, and the situation with power supply in Kherson is difficult.

Currently, a large number of the cities and towns of Kherson Oblast have not had electricity for a long time due to shelling, destruction and looting by the occupiers. However, engineers are ready to begin the process of restoring the city's power grids.

Background:

Due to the damage suffered by the energy infrastructure facilities during yesterday's attack by Russia, Ukrenergo enforced additional scheduled blackouts in the city of Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Sumy, Zhytomyr, Kharkiv, Poltava, and Donetsk Oblasts.
