Law enforcement officers in Kyiv seize Russian company assets worth over US$1 million

National Police investigators have identified a company selling fuel, lubricants and chemicals that was registered in the aggressor country.

This has been reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

In the course of the pre-trial investigation, the police established that the company’s ultimate beneficial owner is a Russian citizen. The company was engaged in the sale of fuel, lubricants and chemicals.

"At the request of an investigator from the Main Investigative Directorate of the National Police of Ukraine, as agreed with a prosecutor from the General Prosecutor’s Office, the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has seized the Russian company’s fuel and lubricants," the report states.

The National Police says the total value of the seized assets was more than UAH 40 million [over US$1 million]. The seized assets have now been handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be used for their needs.

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has seized shares in strategic Ukrainian companies whose ultimate owners are Alexander Babakov, a member of the State Duma; Yevgeny Giner, a member of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs; and Mikhail Voevodin, a so-called "thief in law" nicknamed Misha "Luzhnetsky".
