More than 1,500 drawings by Ukrainian children have been handed over to the Ukrainian Chief Intelligence Directorate, which will then send them to the front line.

Soldiers received children's drawings as part of a nationwide project of gratitude to the defenders, called "Drawing for the Hero", the organising fund Tsil ("Aim") reported.

"This is a record, the largest number of children's drawings that has ever been given to the military," say the organisers.

The foundation's team handed over several boxes with drawings to military intelligence. Then they will be taken directly to the soldiers on the front lines – to the hottest spots, military units, hospitals and subdivisions.

As part of the "Drawing for the Hero" project, over a period of six months, every little Ukrainian could thank modern heroes by sending a drawing of thanks.

The drawings came from all over Ukraine and even from abroad, where many Ukrainian children are now, say the organisers.

"Our defenders, especially the military, treat the letters and drawings that Ukrainian children send to the front through volunteers with great tenderness.

‘Thank you’ and ‘come back alive’ written by a child's hand raises morale and gives strength," says Yulian Poburko, president of the Tsil foundation.

Drawings sent by children have also been given a digital life. They were converted into NFTs that will be auctioned on a crypto exchange.

The proceeds will be used to develop an architectural design for the Kindergarten of the Future project.

The child who is the author of the picture which sells at the highest price will receive a gift – an Apple IPad Air with an Apple Pencil for drawing.

The project was supported by Ukrposhta, the Ukrainian National Postal Operator.

To recap, Ukraine has launched a platform called Pryvit, voine! ("Hi, hero!"), where Ukrainians can post letters, photos, videos and illustrations for the military.
