In 2022, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine purchased weapons and military equipment from domestic manufacturers, so Western tanks at the contact line will be supported by Ukrainian artillery, and soon Ukrainians will be presented with the drone developments.

Quote: "The Ministry of Defence has not demonstrated this, but over the last year we have not stopped the purchases of anti-aircraft weapons from domestic manufacturers. Wherever possible, within the limits of our competence, we promoted deployment in new locations and increased capacities.

Likewise, last year, after a critical period when a significant amount of resources was spent on the import of defence equipment, the Ministry of Defence prepared a transition in order for the maximum amount of funds to be directed to Ukrainian manufacturers in 2023. This applies to all components, from uniforms, shoes, body armour and UAVs to heavy weapons and ammunition."

Details: Reznikov showed a photo of the Ukrainian 155-mm Bohdana self-propelled artillery system.

The minister reported that "one such artillery system successfully passed tests on the battlefield."

According to Reznikov, the Ministry of Defence financed new artillery systems in spring 2022.

Quote: "Western-made tanks, which will arrive in a few months, will be supported at the contact line by Ukrainian artillery, in all senses of the word.

I have already voiced my approach. Ukraine should be as independent as possible in all components of defence provision, wherever possible. This makes our country a desirable partner and strengthens our position. That is why the Ministry of Defence will increase its efforts to stimulate Ukrainian manufacturers.

We will soon present the first results of our UAV development."
