Details: At the meeting, it was emphasised that a serviceman receives the status of a prisoner only if there is an official confirmation by the Ministry of Defence of Russia through the International Committee of the Red Cross.

However, the absence or presence of such a status does not affect the involvement of a captured or missing serviceman in the exchange processes.

A representative of the Office of the Commissioner for Persons Missing Under Special Circumstances noted that the Russian side does not provide specific information about the places where the bodies of Ukrainian servicemen were found.

Separately, the representative of the Coordination Headquarters reminded that the process of creating an online cabinet is being completed, where all available information about captured soldiers will be collected. The information collected in the office will be available to the soldiers’ relatives.
