Ukrainian air defence forces shoot down half of Russian-launched Shahed kamikaze drones overnight

Ukraine's air defence forces have brought down 16 of the 30 Shahed attack UAVs launched by the Russians on the night of 31 September – 1 October.

Details: The Ukrainian military reports that the Russian forces bombarded Ukraine with Shahed UAVs from the southern, southeastern and northern directions (Cape Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea; Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk; Russia's Kursk) on the night of 31 September – 1 October 2023.

About 30 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs were launched, and 16 were downed.
