Verkhovna Rada dismisses Minister of Youth and Sports

The Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian parliament, has dismissed Vadym Huttsait, Minister of Youth and Sports.

Details: 243 MPs voted for the dismissal of Huttsait. According to Ukrainska Pravda’s sources, the Servant of the People political party considers appointing one of Huttsait’s deputies as acting head of the ministry.

- On 8 November, Huttsait wrote a letter of resignation, which had been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
- In November 2022, Huttsait became president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
- Huttsait said that after his resignation, he plans to focus on his work at the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
