Quote: "This return to the elements of peace is possible because Ukraine has become stronger. Now, we can ensure the security of this facility. Thanks to our Defense Forces and our friends – your countries. And I am confident that the symbolic boarding passes you received at the entrance will soon become valid"
Details: Yermak's deputy, Andrii Sybiha, who also attended the meeting, added that Boryspil airport was the first facility to be closed in the wake of the outbreak of full-scale war, and it will be the first to resume operations once the security situation allows.
Background: In mid-November, Yermak reported that one of the civilian airports would probably return to service in Ukraine even before the war ends. The official never specified which one.
