Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer believes the US House of Representatives will support a bill that envisages US$60 billion for Ukraine.

Details: The senator noted that should the bill be put to a vote, both Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives would support it, The Guardian reported.

Background: On 13 February, the US Senate voted to end the debate on the text of the package bill, which includes funds to support Ukraine.

On 12 February, the US Senate voted in favour of a package bill that includes US$60 billion in support for Ukraine. It received 70 votes out of the 60 required.

However, on the same day, US House Speaker Mike Johnson made it clear that he would not bring the bill to a vote in the House of Representatives if it passes the Senate.
