Emergency blackouts to be introduced in Odesa and Odesa district

Emergency power outages will be implemented throughout the city of Odesa and the surrounding district.

Quote: "Outage schedules cannot be used at this time. The reason is the significant scale of damage following the morning attack," explained the company.

DTEK went on to say that while power engineers are working hard to restore power to Ukrainian homes, stabilising Odesa Oblast’s power system will take longer.

Background: 

• Emergency blackouts were imposed in a number of Ukrainian oblasts as a result of Russian missile strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
• Ukrenergo then decided to provide power to household consumers in all regions of Ukraine except Kharkiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, and Dnipropetrovsk.
