Russia lost more soldiers in 2024 than in past two years combined, says Ukrainian commander-in-chief

Russian losses in the war against Ukraine in 2024 amounted to over 434,000 personnel, exceeding the combined figures for 2022 and 2023, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi has stated.

Quote: "By our calculations, total [Russian – ed.] losses amounted to over 434,000 personnel, of whom approximately 150,000 were killed in 2024 alone.

Details: When asked about the ratio of losses between Ukrainian and Russian forces, Syrskyi replied: "[Russian losses are] many times higher, let’s put it that way."
