Quote: "In Toretsk, the enemy is trying to get in anywhere. Yesterday, information emerged about the enemy's attempts to use underground utilities to enter the rear of our troops on certain streets… Since this is also a priority front, the Russians are trying to use every opportunity to bypass Ukrainian forces.
While in Pokrovsk we see a situation where the Russians are attempting to break through around the city, in Toretsk, these are purely urban battles. When they cannot advance through the streets, they come up with alternatives, including trying to move through underground utilities – just like during the ATO or in the town of Sudzha [Sumy Oblast] (when they used a gas pipeline). [The ATO or Anti-Terrorist Operation is a term used from 2014 to 2018 by the media, the government of Ukraine and the OSCE to identify combat actions in parts of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts against Russian military forces and pro-Russian separatists – ed.]. But, as we know, this does not always end well for them."
