The day of mourning is announced on 6 April in Kyiv Oblast in memory of those killed in the Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih on 4 April, which resulted in the death of 18 people.

Background:

  • On the evening of 4 April, the Russians launched a ballistic missile attack on Kryvyi Rih. As a result of this attack, 18 people were killed, including nine children, and more than 60 people were injured.
  • A total of 19 people were killed and 72 injured in the evening as a result of the Russian attacks on Kryvyi Rih.
  • Local authorities have declared three days of mourning in the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, from Monday to Wednesday – on 7, 8 and 9 April – to commemorate those who were killed in yesterday's attacks by the Russians.
