Quote from Chaus: "There was a strike on energy facilities in the Nizhyn district in the morning. Power outages have occurred in six hromadas and partially in Nizhyn. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
In the absence of electricity, backup power is activated. The appropriate services begin repairs as soon as the immediate threat passes."
Quote from Chernihivoblenergo: "Today, the Russians once again attacked the oblast’s energy infrastructure. A total of 177 settlements in the Nizhyn and Pryluky districts remain without power, affecting nearly 54,000 customers.
Power engineers immediately began emergency repair efforts, but the situation is challenging. We are doing everything possible to restore electricity, though the recovery timeline may be quite long."
