Russia expands Shahed drone launch site in Bryansk Oblast – OSINT analysts

Russia is expanding a launch site for Shahed-type drones in the town of Navlya in Bryansk Oblast.

Details: Dnipro Osint reported that the new facilities are located one kilometre from the original site, which has a dedicated road for launching UAVs. In addition, three underground storage facilities for warheads have been constructed.
The site is located 75 km from the Ukrainian border.
Background:
- In early September, Andrii Yusov, spokesperson for Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, stated that Russian forces currently have the technical capacity to manufacture up to 2,700 Shahed-type attack drones per month.
- He noted that Russia uses these drones by the hundreds in combined attacks alongside missiles, and such large-scale strikes place heavy strain on Ukraine's air and missile defence systems.
