Power supply at Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant fully restored

Power engineers have fully restored electricity supply to all facilities at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) that were cut off following Russian strikes on the town of Slavutych.

Quote from Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk: "Electricity supply has been restored to the facilities at the Chornobyl NPP."

Details: Hrynchuk added that radiation levels at the site do not exceed control limits. There is no threat to the population.

Background:

• The town of Slavutych was left without electricity after Russian forces attacked a power substation.
• A blackout occurred at the Chornobyl NPP due to a power outage in Slavutych following Russian attacks.
• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the blackout at the facilities of the former Chornobyl NPP had lasted for over three hours.
