Updated information has indicated that an enemy UAV attack took place overnight… There was a brief interruption of the technological cycle at Azot [plant], but the facility is now operating normally. There is no threat to the environment and the safety of residents is not at risk. Emergency service specialists continue to work at the scene. An operational headquarters has been set up."

Details: The governor said that a two-apartment residential building had been damaged in the attack, but no casualties had been recorded.

For reference: The Azot plant is the largest producer of nitrogen fertilisers in Russia and the sole supplier of several chemical products, including higher aliphatic amines, sodium nitrate and crystalline sodium nitrite. It produces ammonia, urea and ammonium nitrate, which are used in agriculture and the manufacture of explosives.

Berezniki is located over 1,500 km from the border with Ukraine.
