Several Russian airports temporarily suspend operations

Several airports in Russia temporarily suspended operations on the night of 5-6 October.

Details: Airports in Sochi, Nizhny Novgorod, Gelendzhik, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Krasnodar and Kaluga suspended both arrivals and departures.

Rosaviatsiya did not specify the reasons for the shutdown but noted that "the restrictions were necessary to ensure flight safety."

The Russian airports listed alternately suspended and resumed operations.

In addition, Russian social media channels reported explosions in several regions of Russia.
