Details: Zelenskyy added that since the start of the full‑scale war, the capacity of Ukraine's defence industry had "increased by many times".
"More than 40% of the weapons used at the front are produced in Ukraine or produced with Ukrainian participation. And our weapons will only increase," the president added.
Zelenskyy said the task for manufacturers, the government and other involved institutions is to ensure that by the end of the year at least 50% of the weapons at the front are Ukrainian.
He emphasised that Ukraine had managed to set up domestic artillery production at record speed and quality. He said production of the Bohdana self‑propelled howitzer had reached 40 pieces a month.
"Plus our ammunition production: last year we manufactured and delivered 2.4 million mortar and artillery rounds of various calibres," the president said.
Zelenskyy also drew attention to exports of Ukrainian weaponry – specifically those types of arms in which Ukraine has a surplus and can export to generate funding for the types of weapons most needed for defence.
He said he had instructed the government, his Office and the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council to develop and present the key elements of such an export system. The working title of the programme is Weapons.
"Our export product. Agreements are already in place to open export‑import platforms in Europe, the United States and the Middle East. The task is to launch these platforms by the end of the year," he said.
Background: On 19 September, Zelenskyy announced the launch of controlled exports of Ukrainian arms to secure funding and scale up production of required military equipment.
