Details: Russian state-run railway operator Russian Railways claimed that train services on the Stroganovo-Mshinskaya line have been suspended due to "technical reasons". Both freight and passenger trains are being rerouted, resulting in several hours of delay.
Open sources indicate that emergency services are clearing the derailed wagons from the railway. However, photos and videos from the scene are not yet available as internet access in the area has been completely cut off and Russian law enforcement agencies are operating at the scene.
Background: On 14 September, two freight trains, including one carrying petroleum products, also derailed in Leningrad Oblast in Russia.
