Water and electricity supplies have been restored in Poltava Oblast after a Russian attack on the region's energy infrastructure.

Details: On the morning of 7 October, Kohut reported that 160 residential properties and 28 business premises in the Poltava district had remained without power, and about 1,000 consumers had been without a water supply.

Meanwhile, in the Lokhvytsia hromada, 1,188 consumers have been without a gas supply since the attack on 3 October. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

As of 14:51 on 7 October, water and electricity supplies had been fully restored.

Background: On the night of 6-7 October, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on Poltava and Sumy oblasts, damaging railway infrastructure and energy facilities. In Poltava, a locomotive depot and rolling stock were hit.
