Two killed and one injured in morning Russian attack on Kherson

Russian troops attacked the Korabelnyi district of the city of Kherson on the morning of 8 October, killing a man and a woman.

Quote: "Russian troops attacked Kherson's Korabelnyi district at around 07:30. As a result of the enemy strike, a 62-year-old woman and an elderly man, whose identity is currently being established, sustained fatal injuries."

Details: According to Prokudin, a 55-year-old woman from Kherson was also taken to hospital with blast trauma and injuries to her torso and limbs. She is under medical supervision.

Earlier, Prokudin reported that over the past day, 26 settlements in the region and the city of Kherson had come under Russian drone attacks, airstrikes and artillery shelling.

Russian forces struck critical and social infrastructure and residential areas, damaging eight apartment blocks and seven houses. They also damaged a mobile phone tower, an administrative building, cars and a gas pipeline. The gas leak has been sealed, and there is currently no fire hazard.

One person had been killed and 15 injured due to the Russian aggression over the past 24 hours, Prokudin said.
