Russians launch large-scale attack on Sumy Oblast, casualties reported

Three people have been killed and two injured in an intense Russian attack on Sumy Oblast. Destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure have been recorded.

Quote: "Russia is attacking hromadas in the oblast with dozens of drones and guided aerial bombs. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Ukraine's defence forces destroyed some of the drones, but the Russians continue to use them repeatedly."
Details: Hryhorov said the Stepanivka, Sumy, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Komyshi and Mykolaivka hromadas had come under Russian fire.
The attack resulted in civilian casualties. Three men were killed: a 40-year-old man in the Mykolaivka hromada, a 65-year-old man in the Velyka Pysarivka hromada and a 66-year-old man in the Bilopillia hromada.
People were also injured: a 47-year-old resident of the Stepanivka hromada and a 52-year-old resident of the Sumy hromada.
Destruction and damage to civilian infrastructure was also recorded.
Background: Russian forces attacked Sumy Oblast with drones and guided aerial bombs on the night of 7-8 October, killing two people and injuring three, including a child.
