Deepstrike units from the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces hit the Lukoil-Korobkovsky gas processing plant and the Yefimovka linear production dispatch station in Russia's Volgograd Oblast on the night of 8-9 October.

Details: The Lukoil-Korobkovsky pas processing is a plant for the primary processing of natural gas and associated petroleum gas, with a design capacity of 450 million cubic metres per year.

The Yefimovka station serves several regional trunk lines, specifically Kuibyshev-Tikhoretsk, Zhirnovsk-Volgograd and Saratov-Kuzmichi, with a throughput of 50 million tonnes per year.

According to the General Staff, explosions and a fire were recorded at both facilities, although information on the extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Background: Russian social media channels and local authorities in Russia's Volgograd Oblast reported that drones attacked the Lukoil-Korobkovsky gas processing plant in the city of Kotovo on the night of 8-9 October, resulting in fires on the plant's premises.
