Ukrainian air defence is 74% effective – Ukraine's commander-in-chief

Ukraine's air defence is about 74% effective, but more work is needed to protect the rear energy sector, critical infrastructure and logistics, according to an analysis by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

Quote from Syrskyi: "New challenges await us ahead. Over the past month, the enemy has increased the number of air attack weapons used by 1.3 times. And although our air defence is about 74% effective, we need to make additional efforts to cover the rear energy sector, critical infrastructure and logistics.
The enemy is paying dearly for continuing its war of aggression against Ukraine. We are making progress in implementing the DeepStrike programme. Last month, the number of strikes on Russian territory reached 70. In particular, oil processing in Russia has been reduced by 21%.
We are stepping up the creation of a new branch of the armed forces – unmanned air defence systems as part of the Air Force. We are improving the assault troops system. We are forming a Cyber Forces command.
Details: Syrskyi reported that Russian losses in September amounted to 28,500 killed and wounded.
Background: On the night of 10-11 October, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 78 UAVs, 54 of which were shot down or suppressed by the Air Force.
