Macron says Russia will have to pay for refusing to negotiate

French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that Russia will be held accountable if it continues to refuse peace negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.

Details: Macron said that while the agreement reached in Gaza gives hope for peace in the Middle East, the war in Ukraine must also be ended.
"If Russia persists in its obstinate warmongering and its refusal to come to the negotiating table, it will have to pay the price," Macron stressed.
The French president condemned Russia's latest large-scale attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, which, he said, are in fact directed against the civilian population on the eve of winter.
Macron emphasised that France, together with its partners, is considering ways to help Ukraine rebuild damaged facilities and meet the basic needs of the population.
"France stands more than ever alongside Ukraine, fully engaged within the framework of the Coalition of the Willing," he added, referring to military allies supporting Kyiv.
