Russian forces have once again used drones to attack civilian facilities in the Sumy district of Sumy Oblast, injuring two people.

Quote: "Today, the enemy attacked civilians in the Sumy district. Two people have been injured – a 50-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman as a result of a strike by an enemy drone in the Yunakivka hromada. They have been taken to hospital with injuries. Early reports indicate that both are in a moderate condition." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: In addition, a Russian drone attacked a car near the local administrative area centred in the village of Stetskivka. No one was injured, but the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Hryhorov urged residents of border settlements where evacuation had previously taken place not to return home, as Russian forces continue to carry out targeted strikes on civilian infrastructure.

Five civilians have been killed and 44 injured, including five children, in Russian attacks on Sumy Oblast since the beginning of October, Hryhorov said.

Background: On 12 October, a man and a woman were injured in a Russian drone strike on the Yunakivka hromada of Sumy Oblast.
