Russia loses 1,080 soldiers and 42 artillery systems over past day

Russia has lost 1,080 soldiers killed and wounded and more than 600 weapons and pieces of military equipment over the past day.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 16 October 2025 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

• approximately 1,127,300 (+1,080) military personnel
• 11,261 (+2) tanks
• 23,384 (+9) armoured combat vehicles
• 33,713 (+42) artillery systems
• 1,520 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems
• 1,227 (+0) air defence systems
• 427 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft
• 346 (+0) helicopters
• 70,437 (+416) operational-tactical UAVs
• 3,859 (+0) cruise missiles
• 28 (+0) ships/boats
• 1 (+0) submarine
• 64,468 (+139) vehicles and fuel tankers
• 3,977 (+0) special vehicles and other equipment.
