Quote: "The Americans will completely oust Russian gas from Europe in any case. We must understand that regardless of certain agreements and arrangements, Russia has lost Europe to the Americans.
Of course, Ukraine helped. US energy companies want to enter the Ukrainian market."
Details: The president spoke about two key energy projects that Ukraine is discussing with the United States.
The first project Zelenskyy mentioned involves the creation of an LNG terminal in Odesa. To implement this project, an agreement with Türkiye will be required to allow LNG tankers to pass through the Bosphorus.
Ukraine has already presented this initiative both at the White House and to American business representatives.
The second area is nuclear energy. Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine has 15 nuclear reactors, six of which are currently in temporarily occupied territories.
Ukraine has an agreement with Westinghouse and financial support from American investors which will make it possible to build a further nine reactors jointly with the United States.
In addition, the president said the United States has shown strong interest in the oil sector. In this context, he mentioned the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline and stressed that the US position is that there should be zero imports of Russian oil and gas.
Background: In July, it was reported that Ukraine would continue negotiations with Bulgaria on the purchase of two reactors for the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.
