Quote: "Sadly, two Shahed drones have hit a heating facility and an energy facility in two hromadas in the Chernihiv district. As a result, emergency power outages have been introduced in Chernihiv and the northern hromadas of the oblast." [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: Chaus added that power engineers are working on restoring power.

Critical infrastructure has been switched to generators. Invincibility centres have also been partially deployed. [Invincibility centres are heated premises stocked with food and power banks to assist residents facing hardships due to power cuts – ed.]

"Should the restoration of electricity take longer, additional centres will be set up," Chaus concluded.

Background: Earlier, it was reported that the city of Chernihiv had been left completely without electricity as a result of Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure in Chernihiv Oblast. Residents were advised to stock up on water.
